Supervision for Therapists Who Want Space to Think More Deeply About Their Work

A reflective supervision space to strengthen your clinical understanding, professional confidence, and therapeutic skill.

Therapeutic work asks a great deal of us.

As therapists, we hold complexity, emotion, ethical responsibility, and the lived experiences of others. Much of this work happens quietly, session by session, often without many places to pause and reflect on what is unfolding in the therapy room.

Supervision provides that space.

A place to step back from the immediacy of sessions, reflect on your clinical work, and continue developing your understanding and confidence as a therapist.

My intention is to offer a respectful, reflective, and professionally grounded supervision space where your work can be explored thoughtfully and without judgement.

My Approach to Supervision

Supervision is approached as a reflective professional process that supports your clinical development, learning, and professional competence.

My supervisory framework is informed by the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, encouraging attention to the client experience, the therapeutic relationship, the therapist’s responses, and the wider relational and professional context.

Supervision focuses on strengthening clinical understanding, developing therapeutic skill, and supporting thoughtful and ethical practice. Reflective dialogue is combined with elements of deliberate practice to support the ongoing development of competence and confidence in clinical work.

The process remains responsive to your developmental stage, professional experience, and current learning needs.

What Makes This Supervision Different

Alongside my work as a clinical level psychotherapist and supervisor, I bring a depth-oriented perspective informed by approaches that emphasise embodied awareness and relational process.

My clinical work includes significant experience in:

• Focusing
• Wholebody Focusing
• IFS
• Somatic IFS

These approaches invite attention not only to what is being said in therapy, but also to what is being felt and sensed within the therapeutic relationship.

In supervision, this can support exploration of therapeutic work at multiple levels — including clinical process, the therapist’s embodied responses, and the relational dynamics unfolding between therapist and client.

For therapists interested in depth-oriented or somatically informed work, this can offer a valuable space for deeper reflection and clinical growth.

Professional Background

My supervision practice is informed by experience working across private practice, group practice, and community mental health settings.

I have supported therapists at different stages of their professional development to reflect on their work, deepen their clinical thinking, and strengthen their confidence and competence as practitioners.

This breadth of experience allows supervision to remain responsive to different professional settings, orientations, and stages of development.

What Supervision Can Support

Supervision can support you to:

• reflect on therapeutic relationships and clinical process
• work through complex or challenging cases
• explore ethical or professional dilemmas
• strengthen therapeutic skills and clinical understanding
• consider your use of self in the work
• develop greater confidence and competence in practice

Supervision also includes reflection on diversity, culture, identity, and social context where these influence therapeutic work.

Who I Work Well With

Supervision tends to suit therapists who:

• value reflective dialogue about their clinical work
• are open to exploring their responses and use of self
• appreciate a supervision space that balances reflection, skill development, and ethical awareness
• are committed to ongoing learning and professional growth
• are interested in relational, depth-oriented, or somatically informed practice

Supervision remains responsive to your own therapeutic orientation, setting, and stage of development.

Professional Standards

Supervision is conducted in accordance with the ethical and professional standards of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Supervisees retain responsibility for their own clinical work, decision-making, and client care.

Important Note

Clinical supervision is a professional consultation process and is not a substitute for personal therapy.

While supervision may include reflection on emotional responses arising in therapeutic work, personal matters that fall outside the scope of supervision may be better explored within personal therapy.

A Collaborative Supervision Relationship

Feedback within supervision is welcomed and encouraged.

Supervision works best as a collaborative and reflective process where we can openly consider what is helpful and how the supervision space can continue supporting your professional development.

Is This Supervision Right For You?

Supervision is most meaningful when the relationship between supervisor and supervisee feels like a good professional fit.

If you are looking for a supervision space where your clinical work can be explored thoughtfully, respectfully, and with genuine curiosity, this approach may be a good fit.

A Good First Step

Choosing a supervisor is an important professional decision.

If you are considering supervision, you are welcome to reach out to discuss your current work and whether working together may feel like a helpful next step.

There is no obligation — simply an opportunity to explore whether this supervision space aligns with what you are looking for.
