  • For all of us, our time is precious. The cancellation fee is designed to honour that and ensure there is enough time to offer the space to someone else.

Accordingly, the following cancellation policy applies:

    • Less than 48 hours’ notice: 50% of the session fee

    • Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance: 100% of the session fee

  • Sessions with me are not claimable under the Mental Health Care scheme or with your private health provider.

  • If it is outside of your session time you are welcome to email me at sarah@sarahsacks.com.au. Please understand though my response time may take up to 48 hours and longer over weekends and holiday periods.

If you are at risk please attend your local emergency department, call LifeLine 13-11-14 or 000.

  • If it has been more than six months since we last worked together and you’re considering returning, you’re welcome to get in touch via email.

If it feels therapeutically appropriate, and I have space, I will do my best to accommodate you. Though please note that recommencing is not always possible once therapy has concluded.

  • Trauma-informed therapy recognises how past experiences can continue to shape how you feel, respond, and relate in the present. It works with both mind and body, understanding symptoms as meaningful responses rather than problems to fix, and supports you to process what has been carried so you can feel more grounded, connected, and at ease.

  • Psychotherapy differs in depth and focus. It is a holistic, relational approach that works with the whole person. I work to understand distress as shaped by stress, trauma, and life experience over time. The aim is not just symptom relief, but deeper self-understanding and lasting change.

Counselling is typically shorter-term and more present-focused, offering support and practical strategies for specific challenges.

Psychology often takes a more structured, diagnostic approach, using evidence-based methods to assess and treat symptoms and behaviours.

In essence, psychotherapy goes further beneath the surface, working with underlying patterns, not just the problems themselves.

  • Supervision is a professional process focused on your clinical work and development as a practitioner.

While supervision may involve reflecting on your responses, patterns, or emotional experience within the work, the focus remains connected to your clients, your practice, and your professional development.

Therapy, by contrast, is centred on your personal life, wellbeing, relationships, and healing.

At times, there can be overlap, particularly when personal material is impacting the work, but supervision is not a substitute for personal therapy.

  • Yes. I provide online clinical supervision for therapists and allied health practitioners across Australia.

I tend to work best with mid-career therapists and practitioners who care deeply about their work and want to continue growing within it.

I also particularly enjoy supporting therapists who are considering private practice, building a sustainable practice, or wanting to reshape the way they currently work.

  • All clients and supervisees are welcome to connect with me for Online sessions.

In-Person sessions are only provided in the form of Walk & Talk in a local park for therapy clients.

There are no In-Room sessions being provided at this time.

  • Yes. Online therapy can be just as effective as in-person work, while offering greater flexibility and accessibility.

What often matters most is how comfortable you feel. Many people find it easier to settle and open up when they are in their own environment, which can support a deeper engagement in the process and thus results.

  • Yes. I offer online couples therapy across Australia, supporting communication, conflict resolution, and relationship repair.

  • While I work with many parents, I do not offer therapy to children or teens.

  • Walk & Talk sessions are a wonderful way to connect with yourself while connecting with nature as we walk through a local park. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your needs and so will offer Walk & Talk sessions as an option, if I feel they would be a good fit for you.

  • It’s not uncommon to have tried therapy before and found it didn’t quite land.

My approach goes beyond simply talking. Together, we will work with both mind and body, taking an integrated and collaborative approach so that change can unfold in a way that feels meaningful and lasting.

  • This varies. Some people come for shorter-term support, while others engage in ongoing work. Depth-oriented therapy often unfolds over time.

  • I enjoy working with clients and supervisees over the long term, so no I do not offer one-off sessions.
